Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center
In an effort to reach more students for the cause of Christ, in September 2007 the YFC Board of Directors undertook a review of YFC's mission, strategies and programming. Hundreds of hours were spent in prayer, evaluation, consultation, research and planning. On Thursday, December 18th, at a meeting where the YFC staff was present, the Board, sensing the prompting of the Lord, voted unanimously to launch the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center.
The Wiz Eases Into Summer At YFC
Gaining accolades as Best Musical and six other Tony Awards, The Wiz is said to have revolutionized the Broadway stage. In celebration of the movie adaptations’ 30th anniversary, a revival of the musical will ease into New York City again this summer.
Don’t miss the electric music, colorful costuming and classic story portrayed by a cast of nearly 200 members on the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center stage.

Summer Theater/Circus Arts Camps
This summer, the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center will be transformed into a Big Top for our Summer Theater/Circus Arts Camp! Students will spend the week learning a myriad of new and amazing talents such as Aerial Acts, Juggling, Illusions, Clowning, Acrobalancing, Performance Vocals, Choreography, Team Creativity and much more! They will trained by professional directors, performers and designers in stage make-up, creative production, and many other "behind the scenes" areas, while gaining physical strength and performance skill. All of this will lead up to their final presentation of a real Three Ring Circus for their family and friends!
Two camps are scheduled in August for students entering 2nd-9th grade. Register by July 1st and receive the “Early Bird Discount.” Class size is limited.

One Hot Summer -- Two Great Shows
Because of the unprecedented growth in the newly formed Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center, we will be producing two family oriented Broadway musicals this summer. The productions offer more than 200 acting, dancing, and singing roles for students of an age to be entering 3rd grade through adults of all ages.
Open auditions have been scheduled for the June 26-28 production of “The Secret Garden” and the July 17-18 & 24-26 production of “The Wiz.” The auditions for both shows will be held May 14, 6:30 PM and May 16, 2:30 PM at YFC’s Performing Arts Center. Previous theatrical experience is not required. There are no appointments for the auditions, and it is only necessary to come to one of the audition dates. Those auditioning may elect to audition for one or both shows. All audition materials will be provided. Simply come prepared to learn a song and dance routine.
