Help YFC While Shopping

Giant cardWeis card We know times are tough, but everyone has to eat. We are running a fund raiser by selling grocery store gift cards from local stores. YFC purchases them at a discount and earns a little bit on each one. You can conveniently do your regular shopping while helping YFC! We will try to have them available at rehearsals and performances this month. If you have any questions please contact David at dburger@hbgyfc.org.

New Stuff!

In order to expand our collection of photos on the web site we have reached all the way back to the summer of 2005 to bring you Lil' Abner.  You can access all of our photo albums by clicking on the 'Photos' link in the top menu.

In fact, we are always looking for new photos to add to our album.  Have you attended a YFC event and taken some good pics?  If so, we would love it if you would email them to our webmaster.

Also, if you browse our photo albums, you will see that we are using some cool new software.  It should make it easier to browse through the albums and view your favorite pictures.  Check it out and let us know what you think.

Open Auditions for 1946 - Murder At Midnight

World War II was finally over.  Peace spread to the four corners of the world.  Optimism  returned to the States, and big bands played loudly to prove it.  Our boys started coming home to swing the women they loved around the dance floor with new steps like the jitterbug.  December 31, 1945 was the first post-war New Year's Eve.  America had decided that it was time to celebrate!

1946 Logo

1946 -- Murder at Midnight captures the excitement of the era.  The USO, telecasting a live performance around the globe, is giving their final salute to the men in uniform who served so bravely against the Nazis and "Japs".  Famous Hollywood celebrities have been united to sing the 40s jazz and big band standards we all know and love.  A company of singer/dancers will show off the increasingly popular swing and fox trot steps in large musical numbers.

Woven into the performance will be a radio drama with a lot of humor, a little bit of melodrama, and of course a murder.  But when the clock strikes 12, the actors realize that someone really has been mysteriously murdered.  Who did it?  And why?  Nearly everyone has a motive.  Only the audience will hold all the clues to decoding this fun, original, interactive murder mystery.
